I'm back! Well, sort of. I can't promise the same frequency of post as before (yikes, last time I posted was in November!) but I will try to update this blog a little more. Not to be whiny, but is it ever frustrating taking blog pictures in the winter. It's cold, there's snow everywhere, and my hands always freeze immediately. Now that the snow is all gone (it took a while) I was thinking I might sloooowly get back into blogging.

There's nothing I like to wear more than a comfortable summer dress. I live in them during the summer months. Bonus points if the material is light and airy! This Forever 21 dress was a steal - at less than $20 and the perfect dress to have a beer out on a patio. I've worn it quite a lot last summer even if it didn't make it on the blog!

A look at 2014

Good morning! A little late, but here are some of my favorite looks of 2014. Happy 2015 my friends and I hope you all had some wonderful holidays!

Fall Colors

I don't think there's anything cozier for fall/winter than an oversize sweater. When I visited Toronto about a month ago, I was lucky enough in my less than 24h trip, to stop at J Crew on the way to the airport. They were having a 30% off sweaters sale and when I saw this poncho style oversize tan colored sweater, I fell in love. It's 100% wool so it's super warm and it's really soft!

Next up I want to pair this sweater with a mini-skirt, black tights and boots! Do you have a favorite sweater?

That Sweater

I'm back! Well sort of. After an extended break of being too busy to blog, here's a quick look I wore to work last week. Oh, and my hair is shorter! I've had this cut for about a month now - it's crazy that it didn't make it to the blog yet!

A Little Floral

It's been such a busy time friends. Between wedding planning (my mom is very enthusiastic!), traveling to Quebec to help plan of of my best friend's wedding and being crazy busy at work, time has been slipping by! How is it already mid-October?

Oversized Love

Oh my goodness, this week is going by so quickly! I haven't gotten a chance to blog this week, so pardon my late post. #bloggingfail

I had totally planned for these pants to be THE perfect fall pant to go with every sweater I own, but after one wash, they got super baggy at the bum and crotch, so I'm on the hunt for another pair. Too bad! If you plan on getting these (they are pretty perfect other than being too big) size down my friends!

The Crop Top

Truthfully, I bought this white cut-out lace top on Asos thinking it was regular length. Admittedly, I'm a little scared of crop tops - I somehow never gave into the trend. But after trying out this top with higher waist skirts and pants, I don't know what I was afraid of! I love the lengthening look it gives my legs. Maybe it was mean to be that Asos sent me a too short top?

I must have underestimate the use of the cardigan in my wardrobe because I rarely ever wear them. The color of this Old Navy cardigan is what drew me to it - the deep burgundy color is gorgeous! I can already find so many uses for it - I'll never look down on a cardigan again!

What's this? I'm in navy again? And I'm wearing the same blazer as my last post? Why yes, that's because I'm pretty much obsessed with it. How perfect is it over this dress - I feel like these two pieces were meant for each other! The weather has been unpredictable lately, so I'm trying to enjoy those last warm days in bare legs until it's tights season!

I have to admit I've avoided the color navy in my wardrobe, mostly because a lot of my wardrobe is black. But when I saw this J Crew schoolboy blazer on super sale ($60!) in navy, I kept thinking of different ways I could wear it - with denim and a white tee, with most of the skirts I own, with dresses... and the list went on! Actually, I'm even wearing it today, the second time this week. Apparently, it's coming in pretty handy!

As you may know, I'm getting married next year, and I'm happy to say that this past weekend, I found my wedding dress! I won't say much about it other than it's very me, and if you've been reading this blog for a bit, you can probably guess how it will look.

Comfort with Stripes

Excuse the radio silence on my end. While I planned to have a lot more posts up this week, my fiance and I had to deal with a medical emergency in the family, and it's been exhausting. My fiance's dad fell ill on Wednesday (he is never sick) and being elderly, we thought it best to drive down to see him (he lives 1h away). Sure enough, after a visit to the doctor, we found out he needed a pacemaker. We were all surprised - at 89, he still splits his own wood. They didn't even have any record of him at the hospital - he had never been! So between the back and forth from his place to here, I haven't had much time to do anything.

With that out of the way, I have to say this little striped Old Navy dress has been a staple in my closet lately. Super comfortable, it's so easy to throw a blazer or jean jacket on top. Not that I want to think too much about tight season, but I'm sure it will look great with tights too.

Tent Dress

I meant to post some ideas on what to wear to a wedding this summer, but it seems summer has gone by without me getting a chance to. Where did the time go?! Truthfully, I went to one wedding this summer, and this isn't even what I wore. However, I think an easy breezy tent dress is perfect for that type of occasion - just add a gold clutch to any LBD and you're ready to go!
