A Special Day Trip

Old Navy Top, AE denim shorts, Gap Sandals, Ray-Ban Sunnies, Smart Set Necklace, Michael Kors Watch, Rebecca Minkoff Bag

I kind of feel silly posting about outfit pictures today - I originally planned to take blog photos on my Saturday day trip to St. Andrews to post on here by the end of the week, but something else happened that day. In case you haven't seen the happy news on my Instagram, my love and I are engaged! I thought that instead of making this post outfit-centric, I'd share some pictures from our day.

My sweetheart planned a beautiful day in St. Andrews, a town only a few hours from where we live. It's best known for being by the sea (often going by St. Andrews-by-the-sea), with loads of little boutiques and gorgeous scenery. The main event of the day was whale watching aboard a tall ship. It was absolutely amazing. We were lucky enough to spot minke whales, porpoises and a few seals. The ship crew was great, and we made friends with a few of the passengers - it's funny how 4 hours on a ship will get you talking with strangers. In fact, my fella mentioned to quite a few of the passengers he was planning on proposing right after! A few of the kids were dressed as pirates and were able to touch sea creatures that the crew had captured  that morning (and released the day after). You can't see it but the little girl dressed in a pirate costume is holding a sand dollar.

It makes me laugh that before boarding the ship, I saw a wedding party in which the bride was wearing the most gorgeous wedding dress. I swear I wasn't trying to creep them by snapping this picture, I just wanted to pin this dress! Little did I know, I was about to be proposed to in a few hours...

I cannot wait to marry my best friend. Anyone else think it would be absolutely hilarious if we hyphenated our names to Blizzard-Noël? I'm tempted! Thanks to all the people who congratulated us on Instagram. We're so happy to be moving towards this next step in our lives together!
